🎙 Empowering Decision-Makers: Leveraging Data for Environmental Impact and Community Confidence in EV Infrastructure
In this powerful episode, we explore how data is becoming a game-changer in the race toward reliable, equitable, and environmentally impactful electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

Join our host as they sit down with industry leaders to discuss how advanced data analytics, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and multi-vehicle telematics integration are helping organizations reduce greenhouse gas emissions and boost network reliability.

But it’s more than just about the tech—it's about trust. Discover how access to transparent, actionable data empowers decision-makers to confidently stand before school boards, city councils, and community stakeholders with tangible evidence of impact.

We dive into the critical need for inclusive deployment strategies that prevent underserved communities from being left behind—and show how real-world data is the key to making sustainable investments that work for everyone.

Tune in for a data-driven journey into the future of clean transport, one informed decision at a time

The ability to actively track, record, GHG, uh, you know, greenhouse gas emissions, you know, across your entire EV charging network, for example, and a- allowing us to deep dive, uh, dive deeply into your ecosystem is going to be, uh, a key component to provide that value to customers a- across the whole, the whole, uh, ecosystem. I mean, there, there's a major focus, and a, of course, remind from our perspective, um, leveraging our predictive maintenance using AI, for example.

Like, we can see that helping to bring reliability across your network. You know, that is just the tip of the, tips of the iceberg, uh, uh, as they say, you know? So, talking about improved reliability and reduce... and the reduced environmental impact are obviously clear wins, what... are there other benefits that you see that this partnership brings to your customers and the community as a whole?

One of the, the reasons why I'm really excited about this after, you know, touring the dashboard that you have and some of the reports that you present, is, is it's really going to empower, uh, decision-makers to feel confident. And part of the confidence comes from having data. Part of the confidence is taking that data and putting it in a report that you can go and stand in front of a, a board of directors, or maybe in front of the school board.

Um, that, that ability to show impact is gonna make a major difference in allowing people to move forward. And so, how I see that having a community benefit is... one of the concerns we have in the industry is there are going to be communities left, left behind. And, you know, those communities that have the financial resources or better positioned to both access, um, certain incentives and rebates, but they're also in a better position to potentially make a mistake, where they make an investment that doesn't pay off right away.

For communities that are going to be going out and trying to capture an important set of a rebate, and it really needs to be a win for them, I feel like that's one of the places where having additional data can enable people to make those good decisions. Um, one of the, the features that you talked a little bit about, and Kevin talked about with, with Zero Emission, is your ability to ingest data.

And it's not just data from electric vehicles. You can actually go and ingest data from the telematics that come from, um, internal combustion engine vehicles. Right. And, and that's one of the places where I really feel we, uh, together, we can provide greater confidence to those decision-makers, because you're not making as much of a forecast. You're actually taking, ingesting data, and saying, "Okay. We could... by strategically changing routes, by putting EVs in these particular, um, patterns and, and ensuring charging is going on, you can ensure that you're not having frustration." Because what would be worse for somebody that is trying to be a, a change-maker, they persuade people to buy an electric bus, and then the bus is unable to complete its routes.

You know, that, that would look badly for, um, that per- that individual, that leader, as well as the, the, the idea to be buses, right? And people who are not wanting this to happen could use that as an example of, "Let's not get the EV, electric school buses," or, "Let's not modify our fleet because X and X failed, and we don't want to fail like them."
